Odoo Projectmanagement
The Project Management app has been extensively overhauled in Odoo 15. Many improvements and new features have been added. The integration with the Planning app has also been greatly improved and you now have all the tools at your disposal to manage your projects.
Projectstatus
You can now also set the status of a project by creating project phases.
E-mail plugin
Odoo has a new Outlook email plugin that allows you to create a task directly from your email.
Working on a task with several people
You can now assign multiple employees to a task so that several can work together at the same time.
Different prices per project employee
You could already set the sales price of a project employee per project. Now you can also set the cost price of an employee on a project.
Burndown chart
There is also a new burndown graph display of your project progress. This shows you the remaining tasks or activities during a certain period.
Personal stages
Tasks went through all the phases of the project. But now you can also create additional personal phases for organizing your daily work.
Milestones
You can now define project milestones per project. This allows you to highlight specific points on a project timeline.
Customer reviews
Added are customer reviews on tasks and reports.
Improved task analysis
Odoo also has an improved task analysis where you can now clearly view the budgeted hours, the hours worked and the remaining hours.
Project overviewProject overview
The project overview from previous Odoo versions has been replaced by a completely new project updates view. The view shows project updates, status, budget, hours, profitability, milestones and much more.
Sharing projects
Perhaps the biggest change is that a project can now be shared with external people. They can collaborate on the project via the Odoo portal and have the same kanban view of the tasks.
Task dependencies
From this version onwards you can create dependencies between tasks to indicate which task must be completed first before the next task can start.
Linked analytic accounts
Every project in Odoo is a cost center. If you use this same cost center for purchasing, production or a budget, this information will now be displayed with the project.
Upsell percentage
For a prepaid service product, you can now set the percentage of hours consumed at which Odoo should notify you for an upsell.
Project employee on leave
An alert appears stating that an employee is on leave when the task is scheduled.
Public holidays in timesheet
You can also enter the official holidays (and other mandatory days of leave) for an employee's working hours. Odoo now automatically adds a timesheet line for those days.
Overtime now more transparent
When approving timesheets, it is now shown, based on the employee's work schedule, whether he/she has worked too little or too much.
